On behalf of everyone at Beatson Cancer Charity, I am writing to thank you and the team at Glasgow Bar Association for raising a fantastic £1,157.00 from your annual quiz night in memory of Stephen Semple. Thank you for thinking of us to benefit from your charity event and we would ask that you pass on our appreciation to the team and to everyone who contributed in some way.
Working in partnership with one of the world’s leading cancer centres, The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, Beatson Cancer Charity exists to enhance the experience, treatment, outcomes and wellbeing of current and former cancer patients and their families.
Thanks to your ongoing support we can continue to provide vital funding for enhanced patient and family support services and facilities, innovative medical equipment, novel research, a range of specialist posts including nursing , radiography, physics and research-based staff as well as additional staff training and development .
We also provide a range of services including complementary therapies and patient and family support. Our unique wellbeing centre offers sanctuary and comfort away from the ward environment where we provide relaxing therapies including reiki and reflexology which are also delivered throughout The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and related facilities.
We simply could not make a difference to the lives of so many cancer patients, former patients and families without your support .
