Glasgow Bar Association High Schools Debating Competition Winners & Finalists

“This house believes that unrestricted free speech is the mark of a healthy democracy”

was the Motion debated at the final of the competition.  The final was held within Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday 13th June 2018.  The Finalists were pupils from Duncanrig Secondary, St Columba’s School,  Mearns Castle High and the High School of Glasgow.   An excellent debate was made by all and the winners were the High School of Glasgow.  All participants and all finalists were  commended  by the panel as  being excellent contestants and hopefully they will all continue to exercise their debating skills in the future.
